Helpful Resources at Your Fingertips

In addition to our one-to-one advice, there are many excellent services and websites tailored for older people. Here are some we recommend:

  • Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) – A wealth of local knowledge. You’ll find the Rangiora branch near the library and WDC offices.

  • The Next Steps website has had a makeover and is looking rather smart. You can easily navigate to finding transport for seniors and local groups and connections to keep you busy.

  • Sorted – Thinking about a retirement village? Sorted has excellent guides and tools. We’ll also have their booklets available at the Expo.

  • Services for Seniors – An MSD/WINZ booklet with key information. This booklet is available from your local MSD/WINZ office.

  • Scam Awareness – Quick but important reads on how to avoid becoming a “money mule” and how to spot frauds, scams, phishing, and pyramid schemes.
